You'll enjoy better fishing at the park lagoons due to the stocking efforts of Milwaukee County and the Department of Natural Resources. Rainbow trout and 6- to 11-inch yellow perch are among the fish stocked. Bag limits are posted at the lagoons.

Fishing Licenses
All anglers will need a fishing license and inland trout stamp – except persons under 16 and Wisconsin residents born before Jan. 1, 1927. Note: Boats are not permitted on lagoons without the written permission of the Parks Division.

 

Spring Fishing Clinics for Children
Saturday, April 11, 2009

Bring your children, age 15 and under, to a free fishing clinic. Members of local fishing clubs will teach fishing basics to ensure safety and fun.

Clinics will begin on the hour from 9am–2pm. Bring your own rod and reel; only a limited number of rods and reels will be available. No pre-registration is required. This program is free and open to the public. For details, call the DNR at (414) 263-8614.

Fishing in the parks can be year-round recreation when you consider ice-fishing.
