Statement from Milwaukee Election Commission
On Tuesday, October 19, 2004, the City of Milwaukee Election Commission was informed by The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office of a complaint regarding an alleged voter registration incident on Milwaukee's south side.
Executive Director Lisa A. Artison has confirmed that the allegedly fraudulent registrations have not been processed, therefore the names of the individuals in question will not appear on the city's polling list for the November 2nd general election.
The City of Milwaukee Election Commission staff will continue to work with the District Attorney's office in the investigation of this incident.
