Major Projects


The Department of Public Works Administrative Services Division coordinates planning and construction of public improvements for several major projects throughout the city. Public improvements can include street construction, installation of street lights, sidewalks and installation of fiber and copper infrastructure. These projects included the Harley Davidson Museum, the Manpower headquarters building, and the Potawatomi Casino expansion project. Another major project the department is involved in is The Brewery, located on the former Pabst Brewery site.

The Division also coordinated the design of public infrastructure for a number of single family home subdivisions including Heritage Hills, River View, and Oak Hill.

New Highlights

SELF HELP OPERATIONS! Effective February 1, 2010, City self help stations will be closed on Wednesdays. Beginning in April, there will be a charge for all City residents bringing construction related material into the self help stations. This includes roofing material, brick, stones, concrete, lumber, drywall, paneling and other construction material. Contractors are not allowed. See the self help page for more information

Pay your parking tickets/citations conveniently online with a credit card 24/7. A $2 fee is imposed on each transaction.
Purchase night parking permits online with MasterCard or Visa. A confirmation number will allow you to park up to seven (7) days until your permit arrives in the mail. A $2.25 convenience fee will be incurred.
