Police Re-Districting and the 8th District
The Milwaukee Police Department has made re-districting changes that affect the 8th Aldermanic District.
The changes, implemented earlier this month (July), were announced by Police Chief Edward Flynn in June as a means of reducing the levels of crime, fear, and disorder through community-based, problem-oriented, and data-driven policing. To view the MPD’s re-drawn district borders, please click here.
Alderman Donovan said the re-districting affects the 8th District in the following ways: Police Districts Six, Two and Three will now serve the 8th Aldermanic District. The community liaison officers for each district are as follows – Officers Carlos Felix and Mark Krowski for District Six, Officers Jose Arzaga and Jose Gloria for District Two, and Officers Derrick Lemmie, Hue Kong, and Charlotte for District Three. The commanders for each district have changed – Capt. Michael D. Young is in command at District Six, Capt. Donald J. Gaglione is in command at District Two and Capt. Christopher D. Domagalski is in command at District Three.
The chief has sole authority to implement the re-districting.
