My name is Shaunise Pierce and I’m currently a senior at Riverside University High School. Education and exceeding past expectations are major components of my life. At Riverside I’m a member of the National Honor Society. NHS has given me strong leadership and community service skills. After I graduate I have plans to attend a 4-year university majoring in premed. Helping people is one of my passions. My internship at the Common Council this summer has been beneficial. Working in the office with Alderwoman Coggs and both her assistants has taught me so much about politics. I’ve had the chance to see politics in action as well as work behind the scenes. Being able to get a hands on feel of what it’s like to be in the political office environment is an amazing experience.
