The idea behind COMPASS is quite simple; a community can collaborate better, if it has a better picture of how problems and opportunities are really interelated. Basically, shared data is integral to good collaboration and problem solving.

Funder Spotlight

The Milwaukee COMPASS project is celebrating 8 years of service and will continue in 2009 with funding from Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).

Data Highlights

The Milwaukee Police Department has implemented WisDOT Badger TraCS software to record traffic accidents. Accidents deemed reportable by Wisconsin State Statues have been added to Community Mapping along with summary and detailed reports available on Query and Download. Along with map and summary data actual traffic accident records can be downloaded at Traffic Accident Lookup
