Mar. 19 - A 20-year-old man was arrested March 17 after District 7 officers found he was carrying a concealed short-barrel shotgun. Officers Brian Maciejewski and Joseph Zawikowski were on bicycle patrol in the 3500 block of West Burleigh Avenue shortly after 8:30 p.m. when they saw the man loitering near a corner store. The man appeared to be very nervous, and eventually admitted he was concealing a gun. The suspect was arrested and the officers found that he was concealing a loaded sawed-off shotgun in his jacket. The suspect will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for possible charges of Possession of a Short-Barrel Shotgun and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
