 The Milwaukee Fire Department Public Relations Office works to promote and maintain a favorable image of the department and the department's personnel to the public via local, national and international mass media outlets. The Public Relations office is responsible for disseminating information pertaining to the department via press releases, media alerts and news conferences. All media requests, appearances and/or speaking engagements by MFD personnel, and interviews are funneled through The MFD Public Relations Office.

The MFD Public Relations Office also establishes, maintains and cultivates relationships between the department, the public and the media.
