Alderman Willie Wade, Congressman Russ Feingold and County Supervisor Johnny Thomas met regarding how the stimulus package will impact Milwaukee.

Supervisor Thomas attends a Unity Caucus luncheon at Ponderosa hosted by Alderman Willie Wade, which was attended by Mayor Barrett, Sup. Lipscomb, Congresswoman Moore, Alderwoman Coggs and Alderman Hamilton. The Congresswoman discussed the stimulus package.

Supervisor Thomas is pictures with U.S. House of Representative Jesse L. Jackson, 2nd Congressional District of Illinois.

Dr. Michael Eric Dyson has been named by Ebony as one of the hundred most influenctial black Americans. Dr. Dyson is a Professior at Georgetown University where he teaches Theology, English and African American Studies.

At the September Board meeting, Supervisor Thomas presented a citation to Mr. John Dowell, who is retiring as Director of Workforce Diversity and Corporate Staffing at Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee. Supervisor Thomas was on hand as the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee was presented with a Citation in honor of Racial Equity Month at the June 2008 County Board meeting.
