The Milwaukee County Senior Hall of Fame honors five outstanding Milwaukee County seniors who have served the community as volunteers and as advocates on behalf of the elderly.

Shields look on as County Executive Scott Walker signs the new Milwaukee County Code of Ethics into law. Supervisor Rice chaired the Code of Ethics Study Committee, a blue ribbon panel which revised, updated, and improved Milwaukee County's Code of Ethics which sets forth ethical standards for both elected officials and employees. The new Code encourages compliance, sets forth rules and expectations in plain language and improves the methods of ethics enforcement.
Supervisor Rice with the Milwaukee County Senior Statesman Program participants from the Sixth District: Mr. Oscar Kornblum, Ms. Dolores Kornblum, Mr. Robert Krauss, and Ms. Carmen Pangilinan. The Senior Statesman Program provides a unique opportunity for seniors to witness Milwaukee County government in action, meet with members of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, and learn more about the legislative process in Milwaukee County. Most importantly, the participants get crucial information on how to advocate on behalf of seniors in Milwaukee County.
Supervisor Rice with Mitchell Shiner from Nicolet High School and Mr. Pete Goosens of the American Legion on Student Government Day. Each year, the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors and the American Legion host the event to increase student interest in County government and citizenship. During this event, nineteen area high school students join their County Board Supervisors and receive a behind the scenes tour of Milwaukee County government.
