Motorcyclist Arrested for 7th OWI

Mar. 27 - The Milwaukee Police Department has arrested a 66-year-old Milwaukee man for his 7th OWI.

The suspect was driving his 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on S. Kinnickinnic Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. on March 26 when he rear-ended another motorcycle. The suspect was conveyed to the hospital where officers arrested him for Operating While Intoxicated. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The other motorcyclist was not injured as a result of the crash.

The suspect has six previous convictions for OWI, with arrests on:

The suspect is on parole supervision with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for OWI. He has a valid Wisconsin Driver's License but no motorcycle endorsement, for which he was also cited. He will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for possible charges.
