Local Economic Impact Statement

Of the Port of Milwaukee

The Port of Milwaukee Economic Impact Study was conducted to identify the economic impact of the Port commercial activity has upon its locality. The study, based on 2000 data, measures the impact of Port business on the Milwaukee area economy in terms of jobs, income and tax revenues. The analysis was done by Martin Associates of Lanchaster, Pennsylvania under contract with the St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation
