Milwaukee County Department on Aging Senior Citizen Hall of Fame
The Milwaukee County Senior Citizen Hall of Fame honors older adults in Milwaukee County who have made significant contributions to the community.
Congratulations to the 2009 Inductees
This years hall of fame inductees were chosen by a selection committee, appointed by the Milwaukee County Commission on Aging. The 2009 group includes a special Century of Service Award.
Awardees will be honored by Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker and the Commission on Aging at a celebration on May 22nd.

Established in 1997, the Senior Hall of Fame honors five outstanding seniors in Milwaukee County who have served the community as volunteers and as advocates on behalf of the elderly. The Commission on Aging appoints a committee to review nominations for the Hall of Fame Award. This committee then recommends five seniors from the applicants to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Nominees must be at least 60 years of age and residents of Milwaukee County Nominees must show distinguished volunteer service in any one or combination of the following categories: voluntary service of an educational, community or humanitarian nature exceptional contributions as a volunteer in efforts to improve the lives of people regardless of race, creed or national origin voluntary service in advocacy on behalf of Wisconsin senior citizens Click on any year below for pictures and biographies of past awardees: 2008 2007 2006 2005 2004 2003 2001 2000 1999 1998 1997
