You’re invited to the WIS 24 (Forest Home Avenue) Public Information Meeting

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has scheduled two public informational meetings to present the preliminary design for the WIS 24 (Forest Home Avenue) project. The meetings will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, and Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Maple Grove Elementary School Cafeteria, 6921 Coldspring Road in Greenfield. The meetings will be conducted in an open house format from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. You may come to the meeting on either day at any time between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to view the displays and share your comments and concerns. The same information will be presented at both meetings.

The project begins just north of US 45 and extends about 5 miles north to 45th Street. The project will include improvements at the signalized intersections, resurfacing the existing roadway and replacement of the decks on the three bridges over I-43/894. The exit ramp from WIS 24 (Forest Home Avenue) to Layton Avenue will also be closed permanently as part of the project.

Persons who are unable to attend the meeting can contribute comments about the project by contacting WisDOT Project Manager Doug Cain by November 26th by mail at WisDOT Southeast Region, 141 Northwest Barstow Street, Waukesha, WI 53187 or by phone at (262) 548-5603 or by email at douglas.cain@dot.state.wi.us.
