Feb. 23 - The quick actions of two District 7 officers resulted in the arrest of two armed robbery suspects in the early morning hours on February 21. Officer Michael Martin and Officer Matthew Brooks were patrolling near N. 27th Street and W. Burleigh at about 1:45 a.m. when a citizen alerted them that he had just been the victim of an armed robbery.
The officers saw four suspects running. They pursued the suspects, catching one and seeing the others run into a house in the 3000 block of N. 29th Street. Officer Brooks caught a second suspect as he fled out a side door. Two of the four suspects were arrested.
The officers searched the flight path and found a BB gun that was used in the robbery. The suspects will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charges.
