The Advocacy Committee of the Milwaukee County Commission on Aging is a standing committee of the Commission with a mission that includes legislative advocacy, general advocacy, and education on issues of concern to older adults in Milwaukee County.

The Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups (www.cwag.org) is a vital statewide advocacy organization that provides legislative analysis and advocacy leadership The Wisconsin Association of Area Agencies on Aging (www.agingresource.com) is also a valuable collaborator. The Alliance for Retired Americans (www.retiredamericans.org) is also an important source for National advocacy information The Alzheimer's Association (www.alzheimers-sewi.org), the Milwaukee Aging Consortium (www.milwagingconsortium.org), the Older Women's League, AARP (www.aarp.org), the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (www.n4a.org), and many other groups further complement the efforts of the Advocacy Committee of the Commission on Aging.
Of course, the Advocacy Committee obtains a great measure of success from the support of the Commission on Aging and older adults in Milwaukee County.
The Committee normally meets every first Monday of the month and the public is welcome to attend.
